How to analyze a text in English


When we want to analyze a text we have to look for
specific points to know what the topic all about is


There is twelve points that we should know it which help us to
figure in what mood is the topic written


First: narration
_ to tell a story


Second: contrast _showing the deferens between
things


Third: comparative\comparison _showing the
similarities only

Forth: definition _using different terms to
introduce something


Fifth: identification _to give personal or
academic or any kind of information about specific thing

Sixth: argumentative _presenting your personal
opinion about something

Seventh: interrogative wondering about something


Eighth: cause and effect _showing reason result

Ninth: description _


1) Abject: giving a clear picture about
something or abstract noun by using a different types of adj. topic
2) Physical stats: to talk about size, shape, color, age, temperature…etc
3) Proper: nationality, religion, ethnic group

Tenth: illustration _same as explanation but
with using pictures figure of speech

Eleventh: explanation _talking about something


Twelfth: analysis _to talk about every mood has
been mentioned in the topic
