The idioms I wanna talk about are
fat cat
cat's got your tongue
copy cat
cat nap
cat's out of the bag
raining cats and dogs
What do these idioms mean?
FAT CAT
This idiom refers to someone who is extremely wealthy.
ex: Donald Trump is a real fat cat. He has more money than he needs.
CAT'S GOT YOUR TONGUE
This is used when we are talking about someone who is having a difficult time of speaking.He cannot express himself correctly.
ex: Why are you say nothing? Cat's got your tongue?
COPY CAT
It is someone who imitates or mimics others. He does things that other people do.
!ex: I got a new car, so my sister had to get a new car too. She's such a copy cat
CAT NAP
It is another expression of nap. It' is just a short nap or a short sleep.
ex: I'm going to take a cat nap before my test this afternoon. I didn't sleep at all last night.
CAT"S OUT OF THE BAG
It means that a secret has been revealed.
ex: Who let the cat out of the bag? Dad's birthday party was supposed to be a surprise.
RAINING CATS AND DOGS
It simply means raining very heavily.
ex: I can't wait to get indoors. It's raining cats and dogs out here
